Public Works
Tree Trimming - We would like to remind residents to keep their trees and bushes trimmed back to not obscure traffic signs and sidewalks. Limbs need to be trimmed to 15 feet above streets, 9 feet above sidewalks and bushes trimmed back one foot from the sidewalks.
Construction Projects - Work will begin on March 19th to replace a section of waterline on the west side of Main Street from 1425 North to 1675 North. The southbound lane will be closed for the duration of the project, which is expected to last 30-45 days, depending upon conditions. UDOT has ongoing work on I-15 between exits 334 & 335, which is expected to last another 90 days with construction zones restricted to two lanes. Road Projects and Closurers
UTA/Commuter Rail Construction: Construction will be ongoing along the Union Pacific railroad corridor with the following track crossing closurers. The schedules may be changed due to weather of unforeseen conflicts.
2300 North - Scheduled to be closed April 10, 2006 and reopened by April 16, 2006. Lane restrictions may occur before and after the scheduled closing.
1800 North - Scheduled to be closed April 26, 2006 and reopened May 3, 2006.
1300 North - Scheduled for closure from April 3, 2006 through April 15th. This crossing will be closed for two weeks due to major relocation of the Chevron pipeline, Questars High Preasure line and major reconstruction of the 1300 N. & 475 W. intersection including relocation of Sunset utilities and losering sections of the roadway up to two feet.
Traffic will be signed and rerouted, but please be aware of i ncreased traffic through the neighborhoods adjacent to these crossings.
